Kim Kardashian’s fashion choices never disappoint and she certainly knows how to get tongues wagging. Usually, her outfits deliver drama and sex appeal, but her ‘unconventional’ outfit for the 2021 Met Gala was met with mixed reactions.

Vogue reported that the crowd had no idea who the anonymous woman clad in black was when Kardashian first stepped foot on the red carpet.

While rapper Kanye West didn’t attend the Met Gala with Kardashian, he encouraged her to “push the envelope with creativity and people’s imagination through art”, TMZ reported.

The Reality TV Star filed for divorce from rapper Kanye West after almost seven years of marriage in February. During a Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion special, Kardashian revealed to Andy Cohen that she still loved Kanye and cared for him deeply, but had realised they were no longer compatible. She said she had no longer been happy in their marriage because of vast differences of opinion.

However, speculation is rife about whether Kim and Kanye are actually back together.

Kanye shook his fans in August when he ended one of his concerts with what seemed like a wedding ceremony between himself and Kardashian. This “romantic gesture” also had fans questioning whether their divorce was merely a publicity stunt for Kanye’s upcoming album, Donda.  

While Kanye wasn’t at Kim’s side during the Met, fans at first thought he was the second black-clad figure at her side.
