Rahcel Kolisi, wife of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi, was among the nominees in the Drama Queen of the Year category when the nominees for the 11th annual Feather Awards were announced in Johannesburg on Thursday.
The Drama Queen of the Year category is intended to poke fun at and recognize (in jest) the year’s most dramatic newsmaker.
Kolisi was nominated for the approach she has repeatedly taken in the last year or so to the female attention that her husband often gets. An approach that has landed her in the news on more than one occasion.
She was nominated alongside media personality Bujy, who called out food chain Nando’s last month for naming their latest product the boujie bowl. Bujy felt that this was a slight against him and that he was owed for use of his name. Radio station Metro FM also made their way into the category for their reaction (or over-reaction) to DJ Fresh’s Msunery drama.
