‘Table 1 better be Table Mountain’ – Tweeps react to R1 million Saint table booking fee

Just months after putting their debtors on blast for outstanding bills, Cape Town nightlife spot, Saint Lounge is once again looking to put a dent in its customers’ pockets with its New Year’s Eve celebration prices.

The establishment caused a stir earlier this week when they shared the price list for booking a table at Saint Lounge for their New Year’s Eve party with the cheapest table going for R10 000 (minimum spend) and the most expensive table having a whopping R1 million price tag on it.

What does R1 million get you at Saint Lounge?

The R1 million price tag instantly got people talking and raised questions about what you get for a price tag of that nature.

The Citizen attempted to find out, however, Saint Lounge had not responded at the time of writing. The establishment did, however, confirm that there would be a host on the evening alongside live performances and DJs. Who those acts will be was still a mystery at the time of writing (just three days before New Year’s Eve).

Others also attempted to make bookings, to no avail so they opted for joking about the price tag online instead.

You may recall that Saint Lounge is the nightclub that put its patrons’ dirty laundry out earlier this year after they were initially accused of not paying influencer Mihlali Ndamase for services rendered. The establishment rubbished her claims but took a page out of her playbook by publically embarrassing their debtors into paying up.

Saint Lounge isn’t the only establishment looking to empty pockets before the New Year. Tang Waterfront and Cabo Beach Club will be joining in the fun with their ‘Final Week Cape Town’ festivities which will set you back R40,000 per person over a period of three days.

The event series will be hosted by Boity and will include lunches, a cruise and parties with beverages and food included in the price tag. You will, however, have to make your own transport and accommodation plans.
