Prince Harry to visit SA

The royal is set to take part in the 2015 Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, which will take place at Val de Vie Estate in Paarl, Western Cape.

The match follows Prince Harry’s trip to Lesotho where he will open the Mamohato Children’s Centre for his charity, Sentebale.

Sentebale was founded by Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in memory of their mothers in 2006 and delivers care, support and education to children affected by extreme poverty and Lesotho’s HIV/AIDS epidemic.

This will be the first time the event will be held on the African continent.

Cathy Ferrier, CEO, Sentebale commented “Sentebale’s annual polo fundraising event has gone from strength to strength over six consecutive years.  Royal Salute is an incredible partner particularly in supporting the work we do and this flagship event. We hope to raise even more money this year enabling us to care for and support many more children in Lesotho and across other southern African countries in the near future.”

The Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup will take place on Nov 28, by invitation only. The Prince will lead the Sentebale team while distinguished guests including South African Olympic gold medallist Ryk Neething, Call The Midwife actress Laura Main and British spoken word artist George The Poet will gather to watch exhibition polo at its finest.
