At only 23-years-old, South Africa’s Amapiano princess, Lungelihle Zwane, known professionally as Uncle Waffles, is taking the international entertainment scene by storm.
The Swazi-born DJ made history this past weekend when she became the first Amapiano DJ to perform on one of the main stages at the popular Coachella music festival in the United States.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival takes place every year in California and is known as one of the largest, most famous, and most profitable music festivals in the United States and the world.
The musician trended on social media over the weekend in South Africa as fans couldn’t get enough of her stellar performances, and the fashion looks she was serving.

Known for her bold and sexy fashion choices, Uncle Waffles first set tongues wagging in October 2021 when she not only shot to fame but did so while wearing her unbuttoned trousers loosely around her hips with her thong peeping above them as she vibed to Young Stunna’s song of the 2021/22 summer, Adiwele.
The video went viral, even catching the attention of Canadian rapper, Drake.
The viral video is considered to mark the moment that catapulted the DJ into the spotlight allowing her to achieve heights never seen before by a female musician on the Amapiano music scene.
Since that moment she never disappoints when it comes to her wardrobe choice for her sets. The musician stepped onto stage on Friday night wearing a sparkling pink one-piece with feather detail around her ankles and calves.
On the second day of the music festival she rocked a skimpy locally crocheted bikini top and mini skirt.
On day three, she donned a cropped T-shirt and mini denim skirt with pointy nude high heels.
Several local celebrities, including the likes of fellow musicians Boity Thulo, Moozlie and Cassper Nyovest took to the comments section of Uncle Waffles’ Instagram posts to congratulate her and wish her luck for her performances.
