PICS: Somizi’s new R1.7m ride is everything

Somizi recently said in an interview with Mac G that though he was not the richest, he could be counted among 'the top'.

Choreographer, radio presenter and Idols SA judge has perhaps had one of the best years in his life career-wise. Somizi recently shared on Instagram that he was going to a business meeting and had signed off 2017.

“Off to a business meeting. Signing off 2017. You will have to wait till Jan 17 for the news. Let me start planning 2018. God,” he wrote, while some of us are still planning how to spend our December bonuses.

To celebrate his success, he rewarded himself with a brand new BMW i8, which costs a whopping R1.7 million. He then took it to his “living ancestor”, as he calls his mother, actress Mary Twala, just so she could “bless” it, you know?

“Went to see my living ancestor. For 10 min. I’m recharged for the entire week. Seeing her eyes beaming with pride makes me wanna work harder and fly higher. Thank u Ma.”

His friends also drive nice cars, but take a look at that i8 in the company of giants. Somizi shared that they had gone out for lunch.

We really meant for you to check out the car, but while you’re at it, check out Maps Maponyane as well. How beautiful is the car?

Somizi recently said in an interview with Mac G that though he was not the richest, he could be counted among “the top”.

“I’ve been in a position where there were people that were more famous and richer than me, and I know for a fact now for the past year I’m the biggest personality. I might not be the richest, but I’m ranked there. I’m safe.”

He further says he’s glad the success came now that he’s more matured and grounded.
