Afternoon Express presenter Palesa Tembe is officially off the market. Her fiancé, Veli Ngubane, paid Lobola earlier this year followed by the recent proposal.

Congratulations are in order for the Safta-nominated TV Presenter Palesa Tembe following her romantic proposal at Quoin Rock Wine Estate in Cape Town.

Palesa is popularly known as a presenter for S3s lifestyle show Afternoon Express. She is also an actress, MC and voiceover artist.

Taking to her Instagram page to give fans a sneak peek inside her lavish proposal, she posted cute snaps and a video. The proposal included helicopter rides and private performances.

Many celebrities, including Ayanda Thabethe, Blue Mbombo, Milly Mashile, and the former RHODurban star LaConco have since taken to the comments section to congratulate her.

Lobola

In March this year, Palesa and Veli shared that their lobola negotiations were underway. The advertising executive took to his Twitter page to celebrate, posting a picture of Palesa in her traditional attire.

“U Makoti ungowethu [the bride is ours] #NgubaneXTembeLobola,” he wrote.

Palesa also shared a few snaps showing Veli’s uncles arriving at her home. She tweeted: “Someone’s uncles came to my parents’ gate this morning”.

Palesa’s new presenting gig

Last month, Palesa announced that she had scored herself a new gig on DSTV Channel 176 as the new presenter for Finest Homes’ season 5. She took over from TV and radio presenter, Leigh-Anne Williams

The show explores modern masterpieces and character-filled spaces in South Africa and talks to visionaries who bring them to life.

“New Week, New Month & New Show! Catch me on the new season of Finest Homes on @thehomechannel on DStv 176, as their new host. Join us as we explore some of these spaces, showcasing the architecture, interior design, and landscape design,” she wrote.

Palesa made her TV presenting debut in 2017, when she was chosen to join the SABC family, together with Harmony Katulondi, Ryle De Morny, Fezile Mkhize and Thabiso Makhubela.

The group was announced as the five new faces of the S3‘s Presenter Search on 3. The show was initially looking for three new presenters, but due to many talented people that auditioned that year, the judges: DJ Fresh, Sbusiso Kumalo, Patience Stevens and Jeannie D ended up taking five.
