As the Springboks took on Tonga in their final Pool B game at Stade de Marseille on Sunday, the Boks scrumhalf Faf de Klerk cheered on his teammates from the side lines as he celebrated his one-year anniversary with his wife Miné.
The couple said their ‘I do’s’ on 1 October 2022 at the picturesque La Paris Estate in Franschhoek.
Several of the Springbok players’ wives and families travelled to France to support their husbands as they play their hearts out to defend their title as Rugby World Champions.

Miné arrived in France last week just in time to support her husband after the Springboks’ loss to Ireland.
She attended the game with Springboks’ prop, Vincent Koch’s wife, Jandre Koch and Ilke Smith, the wife of Springbok flanker, Kwagga Smith. Other Springbok wives, Layla Kolbe, Rachel Kolisi and Anastacia Mbonambi were also in the stands.
Miné took to Instagram last week Monday sharing a picture of herself and her blonde husband looking cosy and happy, enjoying the sunshine and a glass of wine at Restaurant La Jetée in France.
Last week Thursday, the blonde couple enjoyed a beautiful sunset at Le Père Louis.
Handré Pollard made his return to the Springboks after a 13-month absence. The flyhalf who was recovering from an injury, was called up to the World Cup squad last week after Manie Libbok and Faf de Klerk’s kicking boots misfired against their match where they lost to Ireland.
Marise Pollard is an athlete and lifestyle, travel and fitness blogger. Marise and Handré starting dating in 2013. The couple got engaged in August 2017 and were married on 9 December that same year.
Marise shared several photos of her spending time with the other Springbok wives at the Rugby World Cup and, of course, a special moment with her husband after the Boks won the game against Tonga.
