Pics and Videos: Bonang Matheba’s R500K birthday party

Bonang Matheba threw her 30th birthday party on Saturday and, from the pictures and videos shared on social media, it seems to have been a blast.

Bonang celebrated her achievements in a R500 000 pink-themed party, with only 200 people on the guest list. Guests went home with gifts, including her book.

“It is a very big ball-gala-gown dinner. I mean, I’ve saved for over two-and-a-half years, so the budget is crazy – it’s like a wedding,” she told S Magazine last week.

The celebration included live performances, a stage production, ballerinas in tutus and a flower wall. Her cake was suspended from the ceiling.

Among the guests were Nomzamo Mbatha, Maps Maponyane, Lorna Maseko and Basetsana Kumalo, to name a few.

Kelly Khumalo also caused a stir on Instagram after sharing a picture of a dress she once wore that looks exactly like Bonang’s. Her followers noticed the resemblance and called her “spicy”.
