Phat Joe’s East Coast Radio resignation was a stunt
Social media was in a frenzy this morning after radio personality Phat Joe tweeted he had resigned from East Coast Radio after only one day.
Joe’s shocking post came hours after he announced that he had left Metro FM for the KwaZulu-Natal radio station.
“Today I resigned from East Coast!!! First day on…Last day on!!! Somebody call the Guiness Book of World [Records],” the tweet read.
Soon after his post was online, a video of him throwing an enormous outburst at the studios, involving destroying his welcome cake and smashing it on the face of a producer went viral, but shortly after that huge tantrum, Joe walks back into the studio, laughing together with his other co-workers, who too burst into laughter.
It was revealed yesterday that Phat Joe had said goodbye to Metro FM and will be presenting a daily drive-time show on East Coast Radio, from 3pm until 6pm every weekday. The television and radio host resignation’s tweet, however, left fans stunned and some worried, but nonetheless sparked some chatter.
But Joe’s fans can relax now. The resignation from East Coat Radio was a stunt.
