Penny Lebyane opens up to Khanyi Mbau

The self-proclaimed Queen of Bling recently had a one on one with Sunrise presenter Penny Lebyane for the second season of her talk show Katch it With Khanyi.

Lebyane, who was the first guest on the show¹s new set at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto opened up to Mbau about her life in the limelight and her relationship with Thato Sikwane aka DJ Fresh which ended many years ago. Mbau launched the talk show last year with the hopes of getting celebrities to talk about some of their best kept secrets.

People look at celebrities and they think that everything is easy for them, says Mbau. South African celebrities have real struggles that other people wouldn’t understand. For instance a lot of the jobs that celebrities have make it difficult to do things like get a mortgage.

“My guests are very willing to open up to me because they know that I have been through it all ­ I’m not one to judge.”

Katch it With Khanyi airs on Friday 6pm channel 105 on OpenViewHD. Mbau is also currently on SABC 3’s Strictly Come Dancing.
