They will perform for one night only at Sun City’s Amphitheatre on Thursday. Tickets are available at Computicket from R150. In the second leg of their successful Antiques & Artefacts Tour, the band will travel to parts of the country they haven’t visited for some time.
So this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for their local fans and Sun City’s holidaymakers to see them. The show – one of the highlights of Sun City’s Spring Celebration – will feature songs from The Parlotones’ latest album, Antiques & Artefacts, which comprises a collection of tracks compiled at the Belville Studios in Cape Town.
With the band’s usual energy and style, Antiques & Artefacts takes the quartet on an altogether new journey. This is their first album release without any assistance from a label. “We are absolutely thrilled the uber-popular Parlotones have included Rustenburg on their nationwide tour ,” says Cecile Brody, entertainment manager at Sun City.
“Undoubtedly one of the most popular and talented bands this country has [yet produced], they are sure to knock fans off their feet with a live show of their latest songs.” The Parlotones are Kahn Morbee, Neil Pauw and brothers Glen and Paul Hodgson.
Formed in 1999, the band has achieved massive success in their home country, also gaining recognition within various markets across Europe and the US.
