Nyaniso Dzedze and wife, Yana Fay welcome new baby

After getting married in back 2018, actor Nyaniso Dzedze and his wife Yana Fay have welcomed their first child together.

Black is King actor Nyaniso Dzezde and his wife Yana Fay have officially welcomed their first child.

Dzedze confirmed the baby’s birth in a recent Instagram post about the moment she went into labour.

According to the actor, he became a dad after a short walk the couple went on to help Yana Fay get over the cabin fever she was feeling in the final days of her pregnancy.

“While walking she then commenced with telling me a story about how her mum had said the same thing to her dad when she was pregnant with her and that same night her mum fell into labour,” wrote Dzedze.

“Long story short after that walk I became a dad,” he added.

The actor’s post was met with congratulations from fellow actors such as Candice Modiselle, Thmebisa Mdoda and Mapula Mafole.

The couple’s baby’s birth comes a few months after Yana Fay had yet another run-in with South African immigration that almost saw her leave South Africa permanently.

She shared her experience in a lengthy Instagram caption on her 29th birthday at the end of June.

“A week ago I was given 14 days to leave the country, and the terms of that leave didn’t look good. Nyaniso and I were thrown into a storm, and breathed deep into our bodies all the way. Prayerful,” began Yana Fay.

She came to a realisation after a storytelling dinner that she attended with Nyaniso shortly before her birthday.

“The event was stunning. A meal in the heart of Johannesburg, with the story of this city told between courses. The history that our host shared blew my mind, and one part, in particular, stuck with me. It was something along the lines of ‘Johannesburg is a city of migrants. The migrants just forgot they were migrants and therefore treated the newcomers as different.’”

Some days thereafter, her loved ones held a surprise party for her. A party that she says “poured love, belonging and embrace” into her after “every part of rejection” she had received a few days before.

Yana Fay ended up flying back to Germany after that and concluded by penning a farewell to South Africa.

Nyaniso was still in South Africa sometime at the beginning of August. He joined his closest friends to celebrate his child’s impending birth with a “nappy party.”

Nyaniso Dzedze and Yana Fay got married back in 2018.
