Now Congratulate AKA and The Soil for BET nomination

When AKA first penned his hit single Congratulate Me, he was clearly prophesying something. The three-time SAMA Winner and nine-time SA Hip Hop Music Award Winner has been nominated for a BET Award in the best international act: Africa category.

Tweets poured in for the rapper after he made the announcement on his social media feeds saying: “To God be the glory. I’ve just been nominated in the best international act category at the BET Awards.” The BET Awards 2015 premieres simultaneously on BET and BET2 (DStv channel 135) at 8.10pm CAT on June 30.

Congratulatory messages came from fans and former foes, inlcuding Casper Nyovest who tweeted: “Congratulations on your nomination King @akaworldwide”. AKA will fly the South African flag at the premiere event alongside a capella group The Soil who have been nominated in the same category. The Soil is currently charting with their hit song Susan.
