Noluthando Meje loves her free alcohol

There are rumours circling that TV presenter and 'Idols SA' star, Noluthando Meje often complains when free bars close at events.

The singer and actress was best known was best known as the Top12 finalist on the second season of M-Net’s reality singing competition Idols SA in 2003.

She has also starred in drama series like, Shooting Stars, Home Affairs and Interrogation Room. She’s also hosted Destination SA and What’s Your Story? and Jam Alley.

Sources close to the situation say Meje enjoys free booze and is not willing to pay for it when she is a guest.

“At most of these events, the bar turns to cash and she gets annoyed if she has to spend her money for booze that could have been free during the course of the event,” a close friend said.

“She’s always swamped with strong drinks like whisky. She takes a double shot at a time and the night becomes dim,” the source added.

According to Daily Sun, sources also add that while she complains, she never gets angry.

“It’s known that she complains and we’re used to it. But she never gets angry.”

For her part, Meje said: “I’ve not been at events for the past two months and when it’s a cash bar I buy my own drinks.”

She added: “To be honest, they are talking bulls***t and they must come to me if they have a problem with me.”
