Jessica Nomalanga Shozi is a South African actor, radio DJ and TV Personality.

The 28-year-old appeared on the soap Rhythm City and MTV Shuga Alone Together but here are four things to know about her if this striking beauty is someone who makes your heart go “pitter-patter”.

She’s single

The new mom is now a single mom after making the revelation to Sunday Times at a recent event. Shozi – who also hosted the launch of Martell’s new Blue Swift spirit – confirmed the surprising news in a chat with Craig Jacobs.

She was in a relationship with Major League DJz’s Bandile Mbere, 32, who previously dated rapper Nadia Nakai.

She got her start in radio

Despite obtaining a qualification in public relations, Nomalanga cut her teeth in community radio before snagging a coveted job at Gagasi FM where she worked for years, most notably alongside The Shady Lurker, also known as DJ Warras (Warrick Stock).

She then went on to pursue a career in acting and did a brief stint on etv’s Rhythm City.

She works for BET Africa

Often dubbed the face of BET Africa, she joined the channel in November 2018 as a presenter for content both on air and on the ground.

Where many fail to maintain a long-term gig, Shozi is still going strong five years later.

In addition to hosting Martell’s Blue Swift launch, she also MC’d the screening for Thando Thabethe’s Unstoppable Thabooty reality show in early April, so, at first glance, Nomalanga Shozi is on a roll.
