Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswane has Mercedes-Benz SA to thank for her new hot wheels.
As seen over the years, Mercedes-Benz is the official driving partner for the pageant and it was Mswane’s turn to get a taste of the luxury year she’s about to have.
Mswane’s new car is a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan, which she will drive during her reign.
“Words cannot describe how absolutely excited I am to drive my new baby! A million thank yous,” she said. Mswane was given a rundown of her new car and its features.
The C-Class sedan is fitted with a 360°C parking package, adaptive high beam assist plus, driving assistance and Burmester surround sound system.
When bought brand-new, the Mercedes C-Class sedan is priced at R880,932.62.

Mswane says as Miss SA, she wants to start a conversation about unemployment and encourage young people to start their own businesses. It is her passion project and during her first official visit to Malapa Motsetse Foundation Primary School NGO last week, she reiterated this.
The KwaZulu-Natal native said in a statement: “I have made unemployment the cornerstone of all the causes I care for because it not only affects our youth but is the source of many of the social ills so prevalent in South Africa. It is now my duty as Miss South Africa to ensure that I start the conversation about unemployment amongst our youth and seek meaningful solutions, which will have long-lasting effects towards its rebate.
“My campaign aims to offer support to young people to assist them to create their own employment opportunities by means of entrepreneurial skills and, in doing so, empowering them to be self-sufficient and to secure their own economic futures.”
