Social media reacts to Master KG new’s jam:
Master KG’s last national “anthem” was the smash hit with Nomcebo Zikode, Jerusalema, however the two have since had a falling out in July.
The beatmaker’s record label OpenMic Productions claimed Master KG and Nomcebo agreed to a 50-50 spilt of the earnings however they claimed the singer later wanted a 70-30 split.
Earlier this month Nomcebo explained their beef was because she allegedly hadn’t received a cent from the song. As a result, she has been performing Jersualema internationally, solo.
Nomcebo responded to a Facebook user who called for the two artists to reconcile.
“@MasterKG and music fans brought you back and whatever differences you have, you must be thankful for that, keep on shining. Hope one day you will hook up together again and give us more fire music,” wrote Facebook user Piet Khune Van Sathekge.
Nomcebo says she doesn’t have a problem with Master KG but she just wants her money from the company.
“They’ve been saying the song didn’t make any money so there’s no money, I then decided to get a lawyer to help me, so I don’t know till today why he decided to respond [before] the company responds. As he was not my boss/ owner of the company but my colleague,” she wrote.
