Muvhango’s KK a victim of armed hijacking

Mcdonald Ndou, known for his character KK on Muvhango, was the victim of an armed robbery in Johannesburg about two weeks ago.

According to a report in Sunday World, the robbers hijacked Ndou in Jeppestown on the night of August 7 and drove off with him.

Ndou had just parked his Audi when he was approached by three men as he was about to close the gate. Two of them were armed with firearms. They put him in the passenger seat, took his cellphone and bank card and then drove off, police told the Sunday paper.

Fortunately, his car was recovered on the same day.

The actor confirmed the hijacking but refused to share more information, saying it would jeopardise the case as police were still investigating.

Ndou is not the only actor to have fallen victim to a hijacking. Earlier this year, Rapulana Seiphemo was involved in a very violent one, and the subsequent accident claimed three lives on the N14 highway outside Diepsloot, Gauteng.

In a report at the time, two men jumped into his car while he was stationary at a robot, pointed a gun at him and instructed him to drive along the N14 towards Mogale City.

“Rapulana accelerated the speed and the suspect at the back shouted at him to stop as he was driving at a high speed, and he told them that they would rather all die instead of them taking his car and killing him. Rapulana says they started fighting for the steering wheel until he collided with another white car,” read the police statement.

At the time, police arrested a 26-year-old man on charges of attempted robbery with aggravated circumstances.

One of the passengers in Seiphemo’s car, Tebogo Makunyane, 34, understood to be from Mamelodi, in Pretoria, died on impact.  Surviving passenger Nathi Msiza, 26, also from Mamelodi, appeared in court on charges of attempted robbery.
