South African musician, entrepreneur and global rising superstar, Musa Keys, has announced his first hometown festival, dubbed “Detty December”, which will take place in Polokwane, Limpopo, this holiday season.
Scheduled to take place on Wednesday 27 December, at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium, Detty December is a unique celebration of music and lifestyle that captures the spirit of the holiday season.
Anticipating an attendance of more than 40,000, the event will feature a grand concert showcasing diverse musical performances by a carefully selected lineup, along with an engaging cultural immersion.
In preparation for the festival, Musa Keys, from Limpopo, intends to involve the local community in organising activities that will contribute to the community in different ways.
Marking a highly successful year, which includes his initial US tour, a certified gold single with Davido in the US, and several music awards, Musa Keys hopes this will be the most significant homecoming festival in Limpopo.

Musa Keys emphasised the significance of the Detty December event for him, saying home was always the best.
“Having a strong family upbringing, nothing truly beats coming home for me.
“We have been blessed with a long fruitful year of building the Musa Keys brand across the globe. It feels so good to finally be back on homeground to celebrate with my entire city,” said Musa.
Musa also shared how this festival would fulfil a lifelong dream for him, expressing his enthusiasm to accomplish this achievement with the affection and encouragement of his community in Polokwane.
“Honestly Detty December is a dream come true for me. As much as it’s a scary undertaking, together with my community and backed by my amazing team, we are about to make history in Polokwane,” further stated Musa.
