Mshoza finds love again by being arrested for speeding
The songstress, who only a week ago claimed she was abused, is said to have found love in the police force.
The department of arts, sport and culture has issued its condolence to the family of Nomasonto Mshoza Maswanganyi.
Kwaito hitmaker Nomasonto ‘Mshoza’ Maswanganyi has found love in the hands of a policeman.
The Kwaito star, in a Drum Magazine interview, says she’s done with six-month husband Thuthukani Mvula and has found love in the arms of Tlhabe Mbhele, a police detective.
Mshoza says Mbhele has shown her what love is. She met the detective in January this year, after she was arrested for speeding.
It was when she reached out to husband Mvula for bail money and attended court appearances as a result of further legal action related to the charges that she met her new man.
Tlhabe is reported to have even brought her lunch during the lengthy court appearances.
“We talked and became friends,” Mshoza said.
She said the detective became her support, adding that meeting him made her realise she was trapped in a loveless marriage.
The kwaito songstress is said to now be in hiding from husband Mvula following an altercation between the two in Phuthaditjhaba recently.
Mshoza has had a short marriage after Mvula paid lobola late last year; she claims he abused her and sent hitmen to attack her. She has opened a case against him.
Mvula, who was granted bail of R 5 000 last week, denies Mshoza’s allegations.
The 35-year-old Mshoza has spoken of a dramatic relationship, where she was forced to tolerate her husband’s alleged infidelity.
“I was planning to escape, but unfortunately he was quicker than me. I bought a house, and was planning on running for the past six months, but I didn’t know how to run,” Mshoza said, answering a question on on Metro FM of how it had gotten to that point.
