According to the Sunday Sun, Msawawa real name Siboniso Dlamini has finally managed to pay lobola to marry 34-year-old Angela Gwala, paving the way for izibizo and white wedding ceremonies which will reportedly both take place in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal, on 7 December.
Said an insider: “Msawawa’s family first needs to bring the gift they bought the Gwala family. They will exchange wedding gifts and thereafter a white wedding will be held at the bride’s home in Eshowe.”
Allegedly from a rich family in Umhlanga, Angela is said to be employed by high-profile Eskom customer BHP Billiton.
When contacted for comment, she excitedly confirmed her impending nuptials to 24-year-old Siboniso.
“Yes!” she exclaimed.
“The wedding will take place on 7 December in Eshowe. Before the white wedding, we’ll host Izibizo. But everything looks set for December.
“I’m very excited to walk down the aisle for the first time!”
Msawawa made history when he became the youngest kwaito recording artist in the country after being discovered by ‘Jam Alley’ producer Oscar Mlangeni. He released his debut album ‘Wawungakanani’ in 2002 and went on to win that year’s Metro FM Music Award for Best Newcomer.
