As Mohale's gigs pile up, Somizi's have dried up in radio and TV since the abuse allegation against him in August.

Mohale Motaung is continuing to build his career outside the fame that was brought to him through his estranged husband Somizi Mhlongo.
Some might say Mohale is following a similar career path as Somizi. Mohale has dabbled in reality TV, acting and is now a radio presenter. He made the announcement on Monday where he pointed out that he trained in presenting before he got the role.
“I have officially joined the new online radio station @opulenceradio as a radio presenter.
“I’ve spent months training and today it finally pays off. A special shoutout to @relebogile who used to allow me to shadow her radio talk shows and learn so much,” he wrote on Instagram.

The Opulent Breakfast Show will be co-hosted by content creator and presenter Pamela Mtanga.
Opulence Radio is a new online radio station that hopes to be Africa’s preferred radio station globally. The station promotes an “opulent lifestyle through informative and entertaining programmes”, including promoting entrepreneurship and skills development.
As Mohale’s gigs pile up, Somizi’s have dried up in radio and TV since the abuse allegation against him in August.
The former Idols SA judge hasn’t appeared on Metro FM since he took leave two months ago, with the SABC saying they noted Mohale’s claims and as a public broadcaster, they do not “condone any acts of violence or abuse”.
The Citizen reached out to Metro FM on the status of Somizi’s leave and if he would be returning. We are still waiting for a response.

Meanwhile, Somizi has recently focused heavily on the cooking side of his career. He’s currently in Namibia for signings for his Dinner at Somizi’s cookbook, where fans lined up to get their copies autographed.
