Michael Buble is making a comeback.
The 42-year-old singer put his music career on hold when his four-year-old son, Noah, was diagnosed with cancer last year, and now the youngster is on the road to recovery the star is set to return to the entertainment industry, and he is rumoured to headline Barclaycard’s British Summer Time in London ‘s Hyde Park in 2018.
A source told The Sun Online: “This is a sure-fire sign Michael’s big return is happening.”
But the annual summer festival is believed to be his “only UK” performance for the entire year.
The source added: “The Hype Park gig is likely to be his only UK show in 2018.”
However, the ‘Home’ hitmaker will not play “hundreds of gigs” when he gets back into the swing of performing as he plans to slowly “ease himself” back in.
The insider continued: “He’s not going to play hundreds of gigs, he’ll ease himself back into it.”
And Michael – who also has 21-month-ols son Elias with his wife Luisana Lopilato – has even turned down hosting the BRIT Awards 2018, which he was asked to helm earlier this year, because he is “not in any rush” to return to work.
Speaking previously about Michael’s career plans, a separate source said: “Following the great news about Noah’s condition, many people thought Michael would fly over to host the 2018 ceremony.
“But he is not in any rush to get back to work and discussions with him have been almost non-existent.
“Everyone would love for Michael to host in the future and the door will always be open. But, as it looks like he won’t be available, talks have started with other stars.”
