Max George phoned to check on Linsday Lohan

Max George checked up on Lindsay Lohan while she was in rehab. The 25-year-old singer with The Wanted previously enjoyed a brief fling with the ‘Mean Girls’ actress who completed 90 days of court-ordered treatment for substance abuse earlier this year and used to get in touch with her to make sure she was coping with the treatment.

The Wanted star has been quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: ”We called her to make sure she was OK and she ended up coming to the show in Los Angeles. She’s off the booze and doing great.”

Max’s bandmates were interested in what went on at the clinic and Lindsay, 27, explained to them how there were a lot of ”screwed-on” people there.

Jay McGuiness, 23, explained: ”We were curious, about what rehab was like. ”She said there was therapy and lots of talking to screwed-on people and learning about other people’s problems.”

Just days after leaving rehab in late July, Lindsay met up with The Wanted which also includes Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes for a party in Los Angeles but Lindsay’s father Michael says she wasn’t drinking and even refused to go on a trip with the band in case it made her damaged her sobriety.

He previously said: ”To begin with, Lindsay was asked to go out of town with Max and she thought it was a bad idea. I spoke to people with her who said she did not drink and I even spoke to her and she was absolutely fine.”
