“Guys is it true Generations’ Lucy Diale is dead?” one Twitter user asked.
Manaka put the death rumours to rest by sharing a picture of herself looking very much alive. She captioned the image: “Reporting live from heaven on Earth … PS: Micheal Jackson says hi.”
Actress Terry Pheto, DJ Black Coffee and comedian Trevor Gumbi are some of the many Mzansi stars who have been victims of death hoaxes.
Trevor was killed twice online. He revealed his blind mother was left in tears after receiving calls he had died.

“The worst part of this fake news story reporting that I died, is the fact that my mom, who is blind, had to hear from people calling her and she had to go through all those emotions before being able to get to a phone to call me,” he wrote on Instagram last year.
