Businesswoman and owner of PSL club Royal AM Shauwn “Mamkhize” Mkhize has set the record straight about her relationship with her son’s baby momma.

Andile Mpisane shocked everyone when he proposed and then married Tamia Louw last week. People were confused as to why he didn’t pop the question to the mother of his two children, Sithelo Shozi.

Sithelo and Andile recently welcomed their second baby together – a girl named Likuwe “Coco” Mpisane. Their older daughter, Flo, turned 1 in May and she was named after Mpisane’s grandmother, political icon Florence Mkhize.

Because of this, the timeline of Andile and Tamia’s relationship has raised questions for social media users.

After Mamkhize extended her blessing to Andile and Tamia’s union, people criticised the businesswoman for ignoring the mother of her grandchildren and reportedly not accepting Sithelo into the family.

She went on Instagram to deny any reports that Sithelo had been kicked out of her apartment and clarified the state of their relationship.

“Everyone must remember I am FEMINIST! And I will never hurt any woman but I will protect but it’s not my place to give details.

“I personally have no grudges or any untoward feelings against the mother of my grandkids. She’s given me [two] beautiful grandchildren which binds us forever and I will always consider her to be like a daughter to me.

“Nobody has been kicked out of any apartment nor have any kids been taken away from anybody. I remain committed to ensuring that my grandchildren grow up experiencing love from all sides and that they are well taken care of.

“I accepted the mother of my grandchildren with all her flaws, whilst the whole world was blaming me but because I fully understand that nobody is perfect. Out of respect for all parties involved, I will not be going into the details of their private affairs. They have both moved on with their lives and will continue co-parenting for the sake of the children,” she wrote.

Mamkhize concluded that this is a happy time for herself and her family as they welcome Tamia into their family.
