The latest incarnation of the popular Reality TV staple is due to commence on 2 February at 19:00. It will be screened live on DSTV channels 197 and 198 with the eventual winner set to walk away with a prize of R1 million.
Radu, who began his career with the Channel O shows Kasi 101 and O-Boma has also featured in Rhythm City where he played the part of Sibusiso Vilakazi.
Commenting on his appointment as host of the show Radu told The Sowetan, “This does not only appeal to me as the presenter but also the producer in me. It will also give me the chance to hone my live presenting skills.
“Being on-air in real time is one of the most challenging aspects of TV presenting and there’s no better place to master that skill than on a program where unpredictable characters, shocking twists and unexpected turns are in fact, normal.”
Commenting on the upcoming show, which unlike Big Brother Africa will only feature contestants from, MNet spokesperson Nomphelo Nzimande said, “Contestants are part of the big reveal, and due to the nature and format of the show will only be revealed on the day when the show goes live.”
