He made his mark on the music scene when he released his debut album, ‘Special Rekwest’ when he was just 21 years old.
Kwesta told SunBuzz he had to “dig deep to express his heart and soul freely” with his second album.
“This album is very personal.” “I have decided to be honest and speak my mind. I share things about my family, about love and business.” Kwesta explained.
The album’s acronym reportedly stands for “Da King Of Afrikan Rap and the single, ‘Thul’ujaive’ featuring Kid X and Zakwe, is receiving major airplay on radio stations.
“Myself and the guys came up with this song while we were just chilling in studio with J-Master, who eventually produced the beats.
“We were having a good time, we just started free-styling and dancing. That’s how it came about.” He explained of the single.
He also teamed up with R&B singer Jimmy Nevis for the song ‘Balloon’. It has seen his fans raving about it on social networks.
“When Jimmy called to ask me to do the track with him, I was stunned and surprised. But when I listened to the song, I just loved it.
“I then started reflecting on my life and the woman who my verse is dedicated to. This song again is a personal real life story,” said Kwesta.
He added is proud of himself and the work he has produced and believes that his album deserves to win a few awards this year.
