Kelly Clarkson wants ‘huge’ family Christmas

Kelly Clarkson is going to have a ”huge” family Christmas.

The ‘Because of You’ hitmaker – who announced she was expecting her first child with her husband Brandon Blackstock last month – is looking forward to hosting a big party for her loved ones over the festive season and is hopeful it will be the first of many to come.

She said: ”We’re having my side of the family come over and his [Brandon] side of the family and come over and just do fun stuff. As a kid, we weren’t afforded that opportunity because everybody lived so far away. We’re starting a family tradition, and I’m excited about it.”

The 31-year-old singer married her beau in October after nearly two years of dating, but she knew he was The One when she first laid eyes on him.

She explained: ”My gut is never wrong. I knew right away. The relationship didn’t seem like work, it was more like a friendship. It’s nice to have somebody who understands.

”I didn’t date bad guys before, although there was one doozy, but I’m glad I had that experience, and I know how great Brandon is, especially compared to relationship’s I’ve had before. He’s very giving and very honest, I love that.”
