Kanye West is hiring for his clothing line, according to an online job post. The ‘Yeezus’ hitmaker who has previously worked with designer Giuseppe Zanotti and French clothing brand A.P.C. – is busy working on his fashion comeback with a new label and may be looking to recruit.
Last week a job listing on LinkedIn, a website used as a networking tool by professionals, claimed to be searching for the future Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the as yet unnamed “Kanye West clothing project”.
The post reads: “The venture will be very high profile, and unlike those in which celebrities merely lend their name to a label, this venture will have the power of Mr. West’s creative genius at the heart and soul of it.”
While the rapper’s previous fashion endeavours haven’t been critically acclaimed, his recent A.P.C clothing line sold out instantly online. A plain white cotton top dubbed ‘Hip Hop T-shirt’, which is on the market for a staggering $120, was the biggest seller.
The star kept his new collaboration with designer Jean Touitou under wraps until it launched in July and the nine-piece capsule collection crashed the brand’s website because demand was so high.
