Jub Jub has turned his life around since leaving prison in 2017 on parole, after serving exactly half of his eight-year sentence
Now it looks like he’s taking his redemption to television.
The show will be titled Uthando Noxolo (‘Love and Forgiveness’), and will see the singer travelling around the country and offering dozens of individuals the opportunity to find redemption.
This isn’t the first television project that Jub Jub has been offered since leaving prison, but he revealed why this one appealed to him the most.
“I took this project because to me it’s not really about the show but about the importance of teaching people forgiveness and connecting with them. Before asking forgiveness it is important that you forgive yourself for your mistakes before going and asking for forgiveness from the people you hurt.”
Jub Jub took to Instagram to share the trailer for the new show
“Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. The last couple of years have been the most informative, happiest, difficult hurtful, thoughtful, altering, molding, powerful, accepting years of my life.
“My talent is one thing nobody could ever take away from me, I dreamt of my painting and then I painted my dream!”
If you scroll through Twitter, you will notice that many South Africans have been begging for a Jub Jub reality TV show for years, though many of them wanted it to take place while he was still in prison.
