For years, influencer Tshepi Vundla has been teased by social media users about being in a long-term relationship with music producer and Idols SA judge JR Bogopa without marrying him.
However, the couple silenced the trolls this past week when they shared that they had began the process towards taking the next step in their union.
While Tshepi did not say what had happened, she did share pictures of herself wearing what looks like an engagement ring along with the attire that South African women from most Nguni tribes wear during their lobola negotiation ceremonies.
She also captioned her image with four emojis; a cow, a ring, a heart and a rose.
There are many things people find interesting about Tshepi Vundla but the most interesting thing to most is the fact that she is a Xhosa woman with a Sesotho name.
She once explained to her Instagram followers that though she is primarily Xhosa-speaking, she got her first name, Matshepang, from her mom’s side of the family.
She recently turned 30 and has spent most of her life in Johannesburg where she is currently based. She now works as a stylist and influencer after getting her start as a stylist and personal shopper.
She is the daughter of advertising industry legend, Peter Vundla and Mampoyi Lehloesa.

It is unclear how many siblings Tshepi has.

Siba recently turned five and his younger sister will soon be turning one.
Tabure Thabo Bogopa Junior, professionally known as JR, is a South African entrepreneur and musician.
He frequently performs Motswako rap, in both Setswana and English.
He has produced and performed on a number of chart-topping South African hits.
Most recently, JR was tapped to join the Idols SA judging panel alongside Thembi Seete after the exit of Randall Abrahams and Unathi Nkayi from the show.
The pair met years ago, remained friends and eventually started dating. In an interview on a YouTube podcast JR said that while he and Tshepi Vundla did not plan to be parents when they found out that they were expecting Siba, the both made the decision to become parents as they felt as though it was the right time to do so.
And now, JR Bogopa and Tshepi Vundla have taken the next step in their relationship by adding marriage to everything else they have already done together.
