PICS: Inside Rachel Kolisi’s whirlwind getaway with her sister

Springbok captain Siya Kolisi’s wife, Rachel Kolisi, recently took her sister on a quick getaway and shared beautiful snaps of their time together on her Instagram page.

The pair visited mFulaWozi Wilderness Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal and enjoyed a quick lunch before driving into the wilderness.

“Aaaand exhale! So grateful for a sneaky night away with my sister @thishan3 before she heads back to Aus. @mfulawozi_wilderness is a quick 2-hour drive from Ballito with the big 5! It’s so beautiful here, so grateful ❤️” Rachel wrote, captioning one of the pictures she shared.

He thanked the Sharks for welcoming him to the team back in 2021. He also thanked them for giving him their blessings to accept the offer, adding that he will continue to give the team his best in the remaining months before he relocates.

“I am equally excited to be joining Racing 92 later this year. It’s a visionary club that I have always greatly admired, and I would like to thank all the role players at Racing 92 for recognising my potential and contributing towards making this next journey possible.”

Home and school hunting

The couple is hunting for a new home and school for their kids. Siya said moving to France will make it easier for him to spend more time with his wife and kids.

“Rachel and the kids have sacrificed so much throughout my career, and I am immeasurably grateful for this… The move to Racing 92 will enable me to spend more time with my family, which is something that I have longed for, and this prospect certainly played a significant part in my decision-making.

“Not many athletes get the chance to write the chapters of their respective stories, and I view this new challenge in France as an opportunity to do this. Indeed, it has been a collaborative effort between the Sharks and Racing 92 that has enabled me to start a new chapter in my career,” Siya said.
