IN PICS: Zizo Tshwete sexes it up as Moonchild 

She was introduced to the public during her reigning year as Miss South Africa Teen and now, Zizo Tshwete (formerly Beda) has stepped into adulthood right before our eyes. 

She celebrated her 34th birthday with a themed party where she dressed as musician Moonchild Sanelly.

She shared pictures of her outfit on Instagram and penned a sweet message to Moonchild explaining the inspiration behind her costume. 

“Bold looks different for all of us! @moonchildsanelly you are a Queen. Period. You know why!

“Sometimes you will be misunderstood for colouring outside the lines. Just keep standing in the expression of Love. People may or may not understand your perspectives on life. Your responsibility is to live an authentic life,” wrote Zizo. 

“Stay shining Boobeams. Woza! Thank you for styling me, gorgeous Ms Moon! You are the vibe!” she added, revealing that Moonchild had styled her birthday outfit. 

It was such a spot on costume that one would be forgiven for assuming that they are looking at Moonchild at first glance. 

“A highlight was all my guests thinking I was actually Moon. One of the best birthday dinners ever!” concluded Zizo, revealing that even her guests were fooled by the resemblance. 

Her birthday theme was “bring your alter ego”, and celebrities such as Loot Love, Zikhona Sodlaka, Mpho Maboi, Melanie Bala and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa commented on her post praising the outfit.

Zizo Tshwete worked as a presenter and model, having worked for the SABC1 lifestyle show Selimathunzi for years. 

She now works as a media professional in the communications space. 

Two days prior, her husband, Mayihlome Tshwete celebrated his 40th birthday. 

Zizo and Mayi (as he is affectionately known on social media) got married in December 2015. A year later, they announced that they were expecting their first child. They named him Vukile.
