On Saturday, South Africa celebrated “New Year’s Day” by cheering for the Springboks, who became the 2023 World Cup champions.
Many gathered in different places, watching the final match with their families and friends.
The Springbok fever was high, and everyone was excited. The Springboks played against New Zealand’s rugby team, the All Blacks, whom they beat 12 to 11 to retain the Webb Ellis Cup.
President Cyril Ramaphosa was in France to watch the match and he joined the Springboks in their celebration, lifting the cup amidst cheers and jubilation from the fans in the stadium.
Springboks wives part of the victory
You know the saying, “behind every successful man is a strong woman”? Well, it’s true for the Springboks too. Their wives were there, celebrating every moment with their husbands.
Aimee Kitshoff, who is married to Steven Kitshoff, shared a sweet moment with her fans by posting a picture of her and her husband kissing in celebration of their World Cup victory.
Domenica Vigliotti, the spouse of Damian de Allende, posted pictures of her and her husband striking a family pose with their little son.
Frances Reinach, the spouse of Cobus Reinach, posted a photo in which she was pictured holding the gleaming golden World Cup, while her husband Cobus held their little child, as they celebrated the moment together.
Rachel Kolisi, the wife of Siya Kolisi, posted a family picture featuring herself, her husband, and their four children, all holding the prestigious golden World Cup.
Layla Kolbe, the spouse of Cheslin Kolbe, posted a romantic image of herself and her husband sharing a kiss while holding the World Cup.
On this occasion, there’s a change in the air, with Minerva Nniekerk sharing a photo of himself and his wife jointly clutching the cup, and there’s certainly no kissing captured in this image.
Willemien Du Toit posted an image where she and her husband, Pieter-Steph du Toit, demonstrated exceptional multitasking skills by kissing while simultaneously holding their baby and the World Cup.
