Idols runner-up Mthokozisi responds to assault allegations
Ndaba is dealing with the matter and urges South Africans to take a stand against violence on women and children.
Idols SA runner-up Mthokozisi Ndaba has responded to allegations that he allegedly assaulted a 20-year-old woman over the weekend.
The alleged assault took place at about 1am on Saturday morning at a flat in Braamfontein.
Ndaba was said to have beaten a woman named Neo Tsele after she and her friend started arguing. Despite pleas from the friend, Ndaba continued to hit Tsele until “he saw his hands were full of blood”.
The singer took to social media to shed some light on the situation.
“In light of the current allegations and a case opened against me, I have returned to Joburg again to co-orperate [sic] with the police regarding the matter. In as much as this has affected Me, the craft God Blessed me with, the family, friends & fans negatively but let us please let our SA law to handle the matter rightfully,” he said in a statement posted on Instagram.
“I plead with TeamMthokozisi & everyone to not attack the complainant on social media. We do not know what issues she may be dealing with. Please Mzansi. Let us continue taking a stand against violence on women and children,” Ndaba added.
