The former captain of the South African national cricket team, the Proteas, is splitting from his wife of four years. The celebrity couple married in 2011, and have two children together, Cadence Christine and Carter McMorrin.
The announcement was confirmed on Wednesday by the couple’s spokesperson, David Becker.
“This is obviously a private matter and the couple would ask that their privacy is respected during this time, both for the sake of themselves and their children.” Becker said in a release.
Deane is known as an Irish pop-singer and their marriage ensured Smith and their children Irish citizenship.
It remains unclear if Morgan Deane will be returning to her native Ireland once the divorce is settled, and where the children will live.
