The Kolisi family live the life many envy and their globe-trotting would make for great viewing on a reality TV show, this as the family enjoyed time-out in the US the past few days, just weeks after Siya Kolisi lifted the Webb Ellis Trophy in France.
“A day well spent at The Garden. We went to watch an NBA game, and only a few hours later went back into the same venue to watch an ice-hockey game, amazing how fast it’s all transformed,” Rachel Kolisi wrote on her Instagram account.
“We’re all struggling with a good dose of jet lag! But the kids have really been such champs!”
This was a caption from a photo of the Kolisi family after watching an ice hockey match at the Maddison Square Garden, where the New York Rangers took on Columbus Blue Jackets.

Globe-trotters
The Springboks successfully defended their world title three weeks ago in France, then had a gruelling week-long trophy tour around the country before Siya and his family had to fly back to Paris as the Bok Captain had to be officially unveiled as a new Racing 92 player.
Racing 92 shared a video on social media on Thursday of the 32-year-old, clad in the training gear of the Parisian outfit, being welcomed by club president, Laurent Travers.

A few days after this, Rachel posted a photo of the family of four in Miami, US where they watched an Inter Miami soccer match, holding the jersey of the team’s superstar Lionel Messi. After their time in Miami, the Kolisi family headed to New York to watch a basketball game at the Garden.
Rachel thanked Sharks Rugby owner Marco Masotti for the New York experience. “Thank you so much for the most incredible day.”
Rachel’s recommendations
While still in South Africa Rachel shared some of her trusted beauty spots in Cape Town.
“Just wanted to drop a few of my favourite Cape Town spots, all of which I worked with for well over 4 years. So can highly recommend them all,” she wrote.
Spotting a mark on her forehead, Rachel quickly placed a disclaimer to her more than 500 000 followers on Instagram that the dent on her was not from the infamous knock she received from a Bok supporter who was passing a rugby ball from the side-line and mistakenly hit her during the Boks trophy tour.
