Gigi Lamayne stepping away from ‘ubungoma’

The Mashonisa hitmaker is stepping away from ubungoma (an ancestral spiritual calling).

The 30-year-old rapper told Daily Sun that she made this decision because she was longing for peace, clarity and truth.

Gigi also highlighted that her journey with ubungoma taught her a lot about who she is, where she comes from and the power of ancestral wisdom.

“African spirituality gave me the language to honour my lineage and to understand myself in context. And yet, God was present even in that space.

“Today, I walk fully with Christ, but I don’t deny the foundation that was laid,” she told the publication.
