According to eNCA, the 32-year-old was caught for allegedly stealing a packet of headache tablets from Shoprite Checkers in the Cresta Shopping Mall, Johannesburg. She was arrested by the shopping centre’s management after the anti-theft sirens went off as she left the store.

A spokesperson for the SAPS, Sergeant Obakeng Mabaso, confirmed that a woman was arrested and that a case of shoplifting had been opened against her by Shoprite Checkers.
Benedict was released from the Linden Police Station holding cells on Wednesday night and is set to appear at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 19 December.
Apart from her role in ‘Generations’, Benedict has also been in ‘Binneland Sub judice’ and was a presenter on daytime show ‘Lifestyle’.
