The ruling party's celebrity supporters showed up in their numbers for this past weekend's birthday celebrations.

Among the many things the ANC has come to be known for is its ability to pull star power around election time. And though we aren’t getting a #ReelStuff campaign for the 2019 elections, celebrities still flew to Durban in the numbers to attend this past weekend’s manifesto launch.
Over the past 72 hours, social media has been filled with pictures of celebrities such as Nina Hastie, Kelly Khumalo, and Zola 7 in ANC regalia.

Although the presence of said celebrities may have been intended to endear the public to the ruling party, all it seems to have done is put them off according to social media.
