Former Our Perfect Wedding presenter Kayise Ngqula’s husband Farai Sibanda succumbed to his injuries on Saturday following a car accident in Sandton last weekend. Sibanda spent a week in ICU before succumbing to his injuries.
Ngqula’s mother, Fikiswa Gatya, confirmed the news to The Sowetan and said Kayise was still recovering from injuries she incurred in the crash.
“She is stable. She is recovering from some fractures on her body. One can say she is out of danger now,” she was quoted as saying.
The families were still arranging Sibanda’s funeral.
The couple got married in August last year and have an eight-month-old baby together.
Condolences have been pouring in for the former presenter on social media.

My thoughts and prayers are with Kayise Ngqula. I simply can not imagine the pain of losing a life partner 10 months into marriage and with a baby that’s only 8 months —while recovering on a hospital bed. May God be a blanket of comfort to the family and friends. 💐
