It seems the rapper's tweet from three years ago has come back to haunt him, but he's not taking the shade lying down either.

Three years ago, rapper iFani tweeted his honest opinion on the South African Hip-Hop Awards and said he disliked them, but now the tweet has come back to haunt him.
“2014 will be the most interesting year for SA hip hop [not SAHHAs, I dislike that shit]. It’s about to get really exciting,” he tweeted at the time.
Three years later, Metro FM DJ and co-founder of the awards Rashid Kay reminded rappers not to say negative things about people when their careers are at their peak, as it might come back to bite them later in life.
“ATTENTION RAPPERS: Never talk shit when you think you’re on top of the game. 10 years later, we’ll still be here and you won’t,” he said, implying that iFani was no longer at the top of his game.

The rapper did not take the shade lying down though, as he responded, in a “respectful” manner: “Fuck you.”
“ATTENTION RASHID: in the most respectful and loving manner; Fuck you,” he said.
His comment divided social media users, with some saying the DJ was right in reminding iFani of his old tweets, while some said they did not want any more beef between celebs, asking them to sort out their issues.
