A concept that divided public opinion, Temptation Island SA season one has come to an end with some success for some couples.
Showmax’s Temptation Island SA is based on the Banijay-owned hit reality format that follows four couples at a crossroads in their relationship. The couple’s relationships are put to the test when 20 singletons arrive at a luxury location to stir things up and look for love.
SA’s first season was set in Knysna, Western Cape, and was hosted by Phat Joe. The show also follows the decision by couples who have to decide if they are ready to commit to one another for the rest of their lives, or go their separate ways.
The two-part reunion was all the talk on Twitter on Thursday. If you haven’t binged the show yet, be warned that there are many spoilers ahead.
Justin Fritz and Estelle Langa announced that they’d passed the test and are engaged, as did Sifiso Ndlazi and Musa Qubinkomo.

It hasn’t been an easy road for the two, one of the singles, Angelique Samuels, claimed that after the show ended, she met with Justin at a park and they kissed. Another single, Dimpho Khoabane, alleged that she kissed Sifiso during the show in the bathroom.
Both newly engaged men denied the allegations.
A confident pair at the start, MJ Maponya gave his relationship with Nthabiseng Maphago a 100% chance of surviving the show. However, he confirmed he’s found someone “better” in Bontle More.
The break-up is messy and Nthabiseng claimed that MJ had been stalking and harassing her since Temptation Island SA filming stopped.
MJ has denied the allegations.
The last couple, Precious Khumalo and Grant Manuel, who were together for four years, confirmed they had separated, and this left many fans disappointed.
