Emmy Awards recap: Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ takes the crown

The television academy loves the royal family-based TV drama The Crown so much that they saw it fit to award the show a whopping 24 awards at this year’s Emmy Awards ceremony.

The amount of nominations that The Crown received saw the show tied with Disney+ original The Mandalorian.

The 24 awards were won in addition to three Emmys secured by the show at the creative arts ceremony held on 12 September.
