Drama speaks to Dineo

Former 'Generations' actress and politics student Dineo Nchabeleng says the fact that she landed a role in new SABC1 political drama 'End Game' is mere happenstance.

Despite being a political and international relations student at Wits, the 21-year-old actress’ decision to take on the role of minister’s daughter Ayanda Hlatshwayo in the new political drama series wasn’t down to her studies.

According to SunBuzz, Dineo took the role because it was “exciting, challenging and different from the roles she had taken before”.

Said the actress of the new show: “It’s unique, relatable and portrays the actual life experiences we witness every day in political circles.

“The drama is bound to evoke debates and highlight the cruelty of politics and its power and influence,” she said of the new drama series.

“The drama speaks to me and the script was written ten years ago but it is still resonates with what is happening today.

“It covers real issues which are happening, some of which we have witnessed, like the unemployed man who burnt himself.”

‘End Game’ is broadcast on SABC1 every Thursday at 8:30pm.
