Drake insists he isn’t ”lonely and emotional”.
The ‘Hold On, We’re Going Home’ rapper often sings of heartbreak and lost love, but he is tired of fans assuming he is unlucky in love because of his lyrics.
He bemoaned: ”I’m so sick of people saying that I’m like lonely and emotional, and associating me with this, like, longing for a woman. I hate that. It bothers me so much.
”I do make music that makes you feel something, but I’m actually not that guy in real life, I’m happy. I’m very excited, my life is constantly exciting it’s not some sad depressing story.”
The 26-year-old star, who recently found himself embroiled in a grudge with outspoken R&B star Chris Brown, is also adamant that unlike his contemporaries, he isn’t hot tempered and foul-mouthed.
He added to Canada’s CBC Radio: ”People just want me to go off more and lose my composure, and then that way I guess I would make more headlines or be more iconic. But that’s not me. I’m a naturally poised individual.”
Drake and Chris were infamously involved in a bar brawl at New York’s W.i.P. nightclub in June 2012 and it’s alleged the fight was over their mutual love interest, Rihanna.
