DJ Zinhle’s fans applaud her ‘no makeup’ selfie

DJ Zinhle showed off her natural beauty in a no makeup selfie that has her fans cheering her confidence.

The DJ took to Instagram to share a picture of herself without an inch of makeup. She didn’t even bother to draw on her eyebrows.

“Can’t even think of makeup in this heat,” she captioned the image.

It seems her clearer skin is behind Zinhle’s confidence. “Thank you @drfatimabhabha for giving me the confidence… I love the work you’ve done on my skin,” she added.

In a world obsessed with photo filters, and ‘beat faces’, DJ Zinhle let her natural beauty shine through without a care in the world.

Celebrities are rarely seen without their makeup, so Zinhle’s bare face was a breath of fresh air for her 1,5-million followers.

“I wish I was just like DJ Zinhle. She has so much confidence,” one fan commented.

Another added: “I’m proud of you for not putting makeup Z. Show Black girls can survive without makeup power to natural beauty (sic).”

“I like your original face that God created you. Don’t hide who really you are. Stay natural beautiful!,” one follower wrote.

Others encouraged Zinhle to ditch her wig as well, and fully embrace the real her.

Some of the 34-year-old’s fans said she was unrecognisable without makeup, and described makeup as being “witchcraft” for being able to drastically change her looks.

One follower rudely told her to put her makeup back on, while another said, “some women should stick to makeup”.

But her “team natural” fans were quick to come to her defense. “No sesi makeup is for cowards… being yourself is all you need…. away with no life people. Gorgeous honey.”
