The fun never stops on Twitter, at least for our beloved celebrities. A few weeks ago, DJ Euphonik went on a Twitter rant that ended up being called “Euphonik’s seven commandments”. In his tweets, he was throwing the darkest shade at his ex-girlfriend Bonang Matheba, whom he called “Hlanyo”. Euphonik used his final tweet to swear at everyone who said his Twitter rant showed he was simply jealous of Matheba’s new relationship. The tweet was turned into a #NONKE meme.
On Thursday night, it was DJ Zinhle’s turn. The DJ finally hit 1 million Twitter followers and that called for celebration among her fans. The memes are funny and mostly complimentary to Zinhle. The DJ went through drama last year when she lost the father of her baby, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, and found herself being sued by Bonang Matheba for sharing the heartbreaking news on her blog.
Zinhle has since spoken out about how she dealt with the pain, finally getting to her “most peaceful” space and just enjoying life, she revealed in an interview on CliffCentral.
It is Zinhle’s victory over her pain that started the memes, saying that nothing is stronger than her. According to the tweets, Zinhle is stronger than the rand and “what doesn’t kill you makes you DJ Zinhle”. She saw the tweets on her timeline and retweeted some of them, telling her fans they’re “crazy”.
